Well, didn't we have a loverly time the day we went to ... Hunters BBQ, and Trof, and Socio Rehab and Fu fu Lamars!

Trof offered it's usual convivial ambiance while we waited for everyone to arrive, sitting around the central 'bar' drinking, chatting before off to Hunters...

For all it's appearances (yeah it looks like a 'dirty caf'[1]) Hunters actually offers very good and traditional 'homestyle' indian cooking at indian prices (well, not really, but at a measly £3.50 they ain't doin so bad). Lamb, Chicken, Lamb on the bone, Spinach, Okra, Black Eye beans, Dal, Mixed Veg and Potato were just some of the rather tasty and darn spicy dishes on offer - you simply walk up to the counter - ask for a 'rice n three' and choose which of the three dishes you would like. A very informal affair, squeezing into the small cafe seats we weren't actually there that long...

Passing up the tempting option of ice cream from Tesco (some people have no taste ;-) and yeah I DO know how to party lol) we then went onto Socio Rehab for cocktails; the 'Single White Female' taking the crown for milky, creamy, fruity, chocolatey loveliness, perfect for cooling the tingling spiciness of the curries... he he Great cocktails, but minus several zillion points for crappy furniture - I'm tempted to think that the corner seats were actually broken from too many people launching themselves onto them...

Finally, the kitch opulence of fu fu lamars provided the setting for the final scene - Quentin Tarantino would have been proud of the 'gun fight' but I'm still convinced they furnished the place from TKMaxx but hey, what do I know... have to say for such a trendy place I was very impressed with the price of the soft drinks - yay!

[1] have had one report of a poorly tummy - I really hope this is a one off and food club didn't become sick club - I know Phil and myself were fine - anyone else have any problems?
